You refer, I assume to California's passing of the ban on Gay Marriage, which has taken away liberties from tax-paying, law-abiding, and equal-to-heterosexual citizens who were finally able to enjoy one of the same rights that everyone else has?

You really do sound like the people you've been complaining about for the past eight years.
On almost every issues for almost every American (excluding some high profile social issues) a national republican and a national democrat are very, very similar.
The question then becomes competency. Barack Obama is far more competent then John McCain. You don't any more proof then Sarah Palin.
The last eight years have just skewed so many things because Bush is such an idiot. The hatred from the left to the right and vice versa is just silly crazy because of that. Most issues both sides are very similar.
