Top 100 Games
The now deceased Inquest Magazine just published their list of the top 100 games. This is a wide-ranging list, including card games, board games, miniatures games and role-playing games. I've played a handful (haven't bothered to count yet) and worked on a smaller amount. It does give me a great swelling of pride to see that the current Brand I'm working on is #3.
Here's the list.

Counting games only that I've independently played an entire game of (no demos), and counting any RPG that I've played one full session for (hence I count Rifts, which I played once), I've played 46, which includes 8 of the top 10.

22 for me, 4 of which I have worked on directly. Man, I need to play more games.

Wow! #3 is something to be really proud of, to be certain!
Even if it does have too many rules for a Luddite like me. ;)
Bravo!!

Great list! Fifty-four played for me. I can only go as high as #9 for games worked on, so grats!
Games they missed: Traveller, by far the best Sci-Fi RPG ever; Ra, cause I love it; and Carcassonne, a damned fine tile-laying game.
I like that "clunky rules" SWCCG is #100.

Chuck: Did you include Hoity Toity? We played it in German. Remember "Anal for Pig Shit"?
And, for total geekiness, Chuck, I count 20 games that I know we have played together. I know I played V:TES with Brian, but I'm not sure if you were involved. And amazingly, I don't know if we've ever played D&D or MTG.

I did get Hoity Toity! That was tricky. I haven't played D&D since 1978 (that's intentional). Amazingly, I don't think we've ever played Magic, Jason. I gave that up with Chronicles (Feldon's Cane a common? This will not stand!)

And that wasn't "geeky," Jason, that was more "eHarmony."

And yet chess didn't make the list. )=
